Flylady...

This post was really supposed to be done on 9/6/2011, so it will be followed by a brand new post!

First of all, holy COLD!!!!  I woke up this morning to the AC running and I'm not sure why, it's colder outside then in the house!  I love this time of year, just kinda sad that it's already this time of year, where has the time gone??  Brooke is 5 months old, Kylie is peeing on the potty...it's September already.

Kylie has been potty training for a week now, she's had her up and downs with it but we are sticking with it.  She only wears a diaper during nap and bedtime.  She has yet to do a #2 on the potty but was promised a new barbie doll when she does.  Thanks to aunt Ida for providing a huge jar of lollipops we have counted those things time and time again, sorted the colors, named the flavors anything to help with potty time!  Saturday she was accident free and Sunday even tho we went to a birthday party and shopping she was accident free!!!  Yesterday she had two accidents which I'm a little confused about, so here's to hoping she gets back on track today!

Brooke is 5 months old.  She is loving all the new foods, so far she has enjoyed rice cereal, carrots and bananas.  She is drinking 6 oz every 2 hours depending on her day.  She takes 2 naps a day usually, there are some days she sleeps longer and some days sleep is non existant!  She loves laughing at Kylie.

Kylie and Brooke love watching Rio together.  They sit on Kylie's princess couch and watch away.  Kylie I think watched Rio about 8 times this weekend...I think we all know just about all the words to the songs and exactly what will happen in each scene of the movie!!

But anyway, this past week Michael was on storm duty for work, thanks to hurricane Irene...that being said he was home for a few hours to sleep then back into work.  Sunday, the 28th into Monday the 29th he worked 30 hours!  His day shift got turned into night shift and he worked on average more then 14 hours a night.  It was soo nice when he called Friday and said this is my last shift....us girls were ready to have him home.  Poor Kylie was all confused, she would look at me with her head tilted in confusion and say where's my daddy, the answer was always at work, at work, at work but she liked that I let her cuddle in my bed each night! With Michael working nights after the girls went to bed it left me with the evenings to myself.  I got laundry done, kitchen cabinets organized, hallway closet organized and the kitchen cleaned top to bottom and I even ventured back to trying Flylady.  So far I have created my morning and night routines and working everything else in between, which means a new home management binder and a chore chart for Kylie will be in place soon!  I have found some great printables on Pinterest that I want to use for my binder and a few great ideas for Kylie's "chore" chart.  Her chore chart is stuff she does daily but I'd like to encourage her so I think keeping a chart will be good for her.  She loves the stickers that we use on her potty chart so I think this will work!  I'm so excited and thankful for both of these websites they have really encouraged me to get organized so in the long run I have less stress and more "play" time!

Part of the morning routine on Flylady is GIFT (God, Imagination, Focus, and Thanksgiving) couldn't really find what exactly they wanted us to do with GIFT so here is my plan:
God- a little prayer to start off the day
Imagination- something inspirational or and idea, a picture or thought
Focus- Duh!!  Something I need to focus on, do I write a list and cross things off or just my daily focus hmmm
Thanksgiving- post something I'm thankful for

I didn't have time to start all this yesterday so I plan to sit down tonight and do another post for today, better late then never right?!

Welp off to cook dinner and spend time with the family!!!!!
