C19Q Day 1

Day 1 of quarantine. I was up at the normal 5:30am, because we have an adorable puppy (insert sarcasm) he's up for breakfast at 6, then the morning goes one of two ways: 1. he snuggles up and is cute after eating or 2. he gets into EVERYTHING and I am constantly correcting. Today was a constant correction day! So Brooke was up at 7ish and Kylie a little bit later.

Breakfast: I made banana bread for breakfast. It was a nice treat and something that will last a few days and it used up bananas that were pretty darn ripe! Win, win all around!

After breakfast the girls started working on their math and reading, so it threw the schedule off but I wasn't fighting it! They did a lot of their packets and worked on today's calendar problems.

Lunch: We had left over Sakura, we're in a "nothing goes to waste" phase so we ate the leftovers today.

After lunch it was art time. We used McHarper Manor facebook live. Today was drawing and watercolor painting. Disclaimer: of course none of the supplies we had on hand were up to par ha! Soo Saturday evening I ordered a bunch of supplies from good ol' Amazon. The watercolor set was $13 and is really nice! We enjoyed learning to draw an elephant with a turtle and bird on it's back. Brooke was getting frustrated with the elephant so she went right to the turtle and just kept going with the tutrles. I imagine there will plenty more drawing and painting in the near future.

Art took over an hour, but it was nice! After art I had to prepare for a meeting with work and the girls kept making some creations! Afterwards they went outside to play and run around!

Once I finished up with work I decided, ya know! This is the perfect time, no excuse time to get on my workout plan and stick to it. I started one last week, then fell off as this madness hit and my anxieties took over. I'm doing Beachbody's Transform 20 with Shaun T!

I chose this because it's 20 minutes a day and it's challenging. There's no excuse for 20 minutes. Yes, it's hard. Yes, I'm sore. But, damnit it I'm worth it! I started today's workout later then I would like, it made for a busier evening in which I tried not to freak out about because there is no school tomorrow so the girls can sleep in, or nap, and if they're a little sluggish that's ok.

We had tacos for dinner, I had some lettuce and tomatoes that were on the road to spoiling. Kylie wasn't that interested since we "just had tacos" ya know sometime last week...so we made walking tacos, easy twist on a normal meal. During dinner, we read the girls Devotional and chatted about our day.

The girls requested ice cream, we had some this weekend while watching Impractical Jokers. We are out, it didn't seem like a necessity when I went shopping. But, Michael stopped at Walmart on his way home and grabbed um 3 cartons! As well as, chips, lunchables, sugary drinks for the girls, soda and flour and butter for me...I'm thinking cookies and breads/muffins in the future!

Anyway, our day ended with me disinfecting all handles and switches and anything I noticed hubby touch. He's the only one that's going to be in and out of the house and around other people.

We had a really good day! I know all days are not going to be like this, I know some days we will ditch the schedule because we found something fun to do or because shit just hit the fan, but I will try my darnest to embrace this time!
