Day 2

So, last night I did day 2 of the 30 day shred! I was very worried, as I was very very sore from day 1. Once I got moving and my muscles got warmed up the workout wasn't so bad at all! Originally I thought there was a different workout for each day, but you do each level until you feel like it's easy then you move on to the next level. So, day 2 was still level one. I am sore, mostly my legs, my arms don't hurt as bad as they did yesterday. Unfortunantly, today I will be adding female issues to my hurt list. But I'm still determined to keep going!

Even tho it's just day 2, I feel like I'm already seeing changes. I'm sure it's all in my head, but I feel more definition in my arms and my legs feel much tighter. I feel like my stomach has tightened too. I don't plan on weighing or measuring until I hit a week of workout. I will also then compare pictures.

I also take vitamin B12 daily. It's supposed to boost your metabolism and give you energy. On occasion I drink sassy water AKA cucumber and lemon water which is also said to boost your metabolism.
SASSY WATER -- water, freshly grated ginger, sliced cucumber, sliced lemon, mint leaves. (Drink 8 glasses a day to help you shed some extra pounds. Why it works: Cucumber is natural diuretic, and helps the body release stored excess water. Ginger boosts metabolism and helps calm and soothe your GI tract.)
I think dinner tonight will be grilled chicken, salad and lima beans, mac n cheese (for the kiddos of coarse!)
When I created this blog it was to help friends and family stay connected with us. I have failed horribly of that! But let's be honest working 40 hours a week, 2 kids 3 and under, a house to run, Church activities, and side jobs i.e crafts, cake pops etc life sometimes gets away from me! I hope to blog daily. My lunch time may just be the perfect time to do this. My SIL, Katie has recently joined the blogging community. She is blogging about the Brazilian Butt Lift workout. She lives a good 45 minutes to an hour away from me, so working out together isn't really an option. We both recently completed the biggest loser competition in our family and wanted to continue loosing weight and working on a healthier life. I think blogging will be a great way to keep us in touch and to learn about different workouts that are out there! I wish you much luck Katie, you can do it!!!!!!!!!!!! Check out Katie's blog.
Brooke's birthday is a little over 2 weeks away!!! I CAN NOT believe my baby is turning one soon! The invites are made and will be mailed this week then onto other party decor all while getting prepared for Easter. See, things get crazy around here!!!!  Kylie celebrated her 3rd birthday in December, I can't believe how big she has gotten, she amazes me every single day.
I have a few plans brewing, we shall see what actually comes out of all these plans!!!  Trying to do one at a time and go from there.
Michael has recently joined the gym!!!  I'd say peer pressure finally did him in! Some of his friends go and I think that motivated him to join. He's doing well, I can tell a difference in his figure! He has also jumped on the eating well or better bandwagon!!  This has made meal planning a lot easier as he is wanting to eat better and more willing to try new things!
I have a few prayer requests, I ask the the Lord be with Kerry and her family at this time of need, I ask that the Lord provide for those families who have recently had a loss from tornados and fires and any other natural disaster, I ask that those serving in our military are kept safe, this world that we live in we are often faced with challenges, sacrafices and sometimes just blah days. I ask for strength to get through those rough days, I ask for reminders for patience, I ask that happiness fill the hearts of my loved ones. I'm so grateful to have such amazing, friends, family, children, husband and overall life. I know I often make a list of wants, and to dos and often forget to just live in the moment and appreciate all that we do have. I think Michael and I have made some great accomplishments in our life so far. I'm excited for what God has in store for me and my family.
I hope that everyone has a great day! I will blog tonight or tomorrow about tonight's workout!!!!!

Just tried the Shake, Jess. I'm drinking it with my lunch, which is a salad, and I can't finish the salad AND the shake isn't finished either. I'm already full! LOL, I might handle this!!!
